Thane: COVID-19 vaccination centers to remain closed on July 2. Thane News – Times of India

Thane: Thee Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) informed on Thursday that the vaccination centers in the city will remain closed on Friday, July 2.
This comes as the city is once again facing a COVID-19 vaccine crisis.
However, only TMC and state-run centers will remain non-operational. Private immunization centers in Thane have been allowed to continue administering jabs to eligible beneficiaries according to the number of doses available with them.
Due to non-availability of vaccines from the state government, the July 2 vaccination campaign in the neighboring areas of Kalyan and Dombivli has also been postponed.

Vaccination centers in Mumbai were also closed on Thursday due to lack of vaccine.
Thane is seeing a decline in the number of daily coronavirus cases. On Thursday, Lake City reported 90 new cases of COVID-19, while two patients succumbed to the infection.
So far 2,012 people have died in the city and 1,30,412 have been cured. At present 991 patients are undergoing treatment for Kovid-19 in Thane.
