IPL 2024 final Chennai Weather live: Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings, the top-two teams from the league stage of IPL 2024, will fittingly be contesting for the trophy tonight. KKR topped the table and defeated SRH in Qualifier 1 to progress to the final forcing SRH to take the longer route as they defeated Rajasthan Royals in the Qualifier 2 to punch their ticket.
Saturday was an off-day for SRH since they played on Friday night. For KKR though it was one last time for them to fine-tune their preparations before the title clash but an unexpected change in weather forced them indoors and the entire practice session was washed out.
The KKR players were just starting to warm-up, playing a game of football when rain arrived in Chennai. The groundstaff quickly put the pitch under covers.
The rain was a start-stop affair and there was a phase when it appeared it will relent. Even the covers were taken off but KKR players left once it resumed.
