North Korea fires cruise missiles, says South Korean military

North Korea The South Korean military said on Saturday that several cruise missiles were fired toward the sea west of the Korean peninsula.

This would be North Korea’s latest missile launch since then. it fired two ballistic missiles On Wednesday, Pyongyang and Washington escalated a show of military force in a standoff over the isolated country’s nuclear weapons and missile programs.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said several cruise missiles launched at around 4 a.m. local time (Friday 1900 GMT) were detected.

North Korea fired missiles a few hours later on Wednesday American nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) surfaced for a rare visit to South Korea.

North Korea warns US actions will provoke use of nuclear weapons

North Korea also warned on Thursday that the deployment of US aircraft carriers, bombers or missile submarines to South Korea could meet its criteria for the use of nuclear weapons.
