Mumbai: Bollywood diva Yami Gautam recently married director Aditya Dhar in an intimate ceremony. The wedding was attended by his close friends and family members in Himachal Pradesh.
However, giving an interview to a news portal, the ‘Bhoot Police’ actress revealed that the couple was not planning to get married. Actually, they were just to get engaged and both the families were equally happy. Film Companion quoted Yami as saying, “We just had to get engaged, and then we were supposed to take the time to its appointed time. But my nani was like ‘this engagement and all this is not part of our culture’ So how to get married?’ Then Aditya asked, ‘Are you ready? Shall they?'”. The ‘Dasvi’ actor continued, “And I said, ‘Yeah. Okay. Let’s do it at our home in Himachal.’ And we just went for it.”
The ‘Lost’ actress also revealed in her interview that due to the ongoing pandemic, Yami and Aditya did not see their wedding happening this year. Yami then says that though unplanned, she thinks this is the wedding she wanted.
Yami also revealed how Aditya and he came close during the promotions of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ and they got to know each other. Talking about their honeymoon plans, Yami and Aditya plan to take both their families on a vacation.
Meanwhile, speaking on the work front, Yami Gautam has several projects lined up for release – ‘Bhoot Police’, ‘Daasvi’, ‘A Thursday’ and ‘Lost’. Apart from this, she revealed during the interview that she has three more projects in her kitty.
