Ahead of the all-important series, players have been sharing travel postcards as they spend time exploring UK territory with their loved ones. Over the past few weeks, Indian cricketers and their respective colleagues have flooded social media with intriguing snippets. Several pictures were circulated on social networking sites and even shared by fan pages.
India captain Virat Kohli recently made fans swoon with some of his stunning pictures. The cricketer is spending quality time with his wife Anushka Sharma and their baby girl Vamika. The couple has been actively updating their Instagram handle with their mini-vacation diaries. Looks like Anushka is enjoying photography abroad. The latest click shared by Kohli is courtesy Anushka. Looking dapper as ever, Kohli opted for smart casuals for his day. He wore a white T-shirt with cargo pants and completed the look with a stylish jacket and cap. Sharing the post, he credited Anushka for capturing the pictures.
If pictures and videos shared by Indian players from the UK are anything to go by, the team members are taking full advantage of their break. A few days back, Anushka posted some candid pictures on Instagram, some of which also featured Kohli. In the caption, she quipped, “Just dancing casually around town. I have a hand running through my hair. A fan looked at me. I obliged for a picture. He looks happy.” Was anything for my fans.”
Kohli and his teammate KL Rahul recently got a great photoshoot done. They hired their respective partners for the job. In the first picture, he posed with the captain and fellow teammates Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mayank Agarwal. In a follow-up picture, KL Rahul revealed the source of the horrific shot. Behind the camera were Anushka, Rahul’s girlfriend, Athiya Shetty, Yadav’s wife Tanya Wadhwa, Sharma’s wife Pratima Singh.
Another picture shared by Anushka earlier today went viral in no time. The group photo featured the players and their teammates, posing for the camera with wide smiles.
Athiya and Rahul haven’t officially confirmed their relationship but their pictures are worth a thousand words.
The Men in Blue will take on Joe Root-led England in a five-match Test series starting on August 4.
