AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay alleged that the ED is “indulging in creating false cases without any facts or evidence”.

AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Thursday said he will file a criminal defamation case against Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials for wrongly naming him in the chargesheet in the excise policy case.

Addressing a press conference here, Singh alleged that the ED was “indulging in creating false cases without any facts or evidence”.

Responding to Singh’s allegations, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said it seems the fear of arrest is haunting the AAP MP with each passing day.

The AAP leader also invited those who have been victimized by the agency to come forward and inform them.

“As the Privileges Committee of Parliament has asked me to expose how ED is fabricating false cases, I will bring up your case and information before the Committee of Privileges. It is time to hold ED accountable for misuse of power and false allegations.”

Singh accused the ED of targeting him after he raised his voice against the agency’s action in Parliament. He said that he had given a speech on ED-CBI in Parliament on December 12 last year and his name had figured in the ED’s charge sheet on January 6 this year.

“I will file a criminal defamation case against ED Director SK Mishra, Bhanu Priya, the officer who signed the charge sheet and IO Joginder Singh,” he said.

The AAP leader also alleged that he had sought an appointment with the ED 11 times to give information on the Adani issue. However, the facts and documents were received by the ED after two months.

Reading out the contents of the chargesheet, Singh said it is claimed that on October 1, 2022, Dinesh Arora told the ED that the transfer of a liquor shop owned by Amit Arora was done by Manish Sisodia on Sanjay Singh’s instructions.

Singh alleged that “the ED fabricated a fake case and made a false charge sheet, just because he was speaking against the Modi-Adani corruption”.

Singh produced Arora’s statement, which was recorded by the ED on October 1, 2022, which mentions that Excise Commissioner Rahul Singh transferred Amit Arora’s shop in a routine manner. He claimed that there was no mention of Sanjay Singh’s name even remotely in Arora’s statement recorded by the ED.

Singh also presented Dinesh Arora’s statement in the court under Section 164, which states that when Amit Arora insisted on taking up the matter of transfer of his shop with Dinesh Arora, Dinesh Arora neither spoke to the then Deputy CM Nor from Sanjay Singh.

“The ED’s attempt to implicate me in a fabricated case is nothing but a political ploy to silence my voice against the Adani controversy. It is obvious that ED is making false cases to fulfill its agenda. I will not be silenced by their baseless allegations and intimidation tactics.”

Meanwhile, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said it seems that the fear of arrest is haunting MP Sanjay Singh with each passing day as he is realizing that ED’s summons could arrive at his doorstep any day now. Is.

Sachdeva claimed that Singh was speaking in favor of liquor baron Dinesh Arora as he knew that Arora’s evidence would implicate not only Manish Sisodia but also him (Singh) and sooner or later Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
