Delhi Police has given its clarification in the Cricketer Vikas Tokas case. South-West District DCP Gaurav Sharma has to say that the player Vikas Tokas has misbehaved with the policemen. Accidentally the player has suffered an injury near the eye.

According to the information received, the player has said in the mail to the police headquarters that he is a national level player. Such an incident happened to him on 26 January that he cannot forget him. Police officers misbehaved with her, which is condemnable. That day an officer punched him, saving his eyesight.

The IPL player has also sent a photo of the injury under the eye along with the complaint. He has demanded legal action against the police officer soon. The player has said in his complaint that he is going through mental problems after this incident.

Vikas Tokas has played 15 first-class and 7 T20 cricket matches. However, he has not been able to perform much. He was definitely a part of the Bangalore team in the year 2016, but he did not get a chance to play the match. After this no team gave Vikas a chance to play in the IPL. The Police Headquarters has ordered a vigilance inquiry in this matter. The Vigilance team has recorded the statement of Vikas Tokas on Friday. The Police Headquarters has said that strict action will be taken against the accused policemen.

According to South-West District DCP Gaurav Sharma, during the checking on the occasion of Republic Day, a person named Vikas Tokas, a resident of village Mohammadpur, was stopped for checking at around 11.30 am. Instead of cooperating, Vikas started misbehaving saying that he is a national level cricketer and is playing Ranji Trophy for last 10 years. The constable also warned Vikas not to wear a mask in a public place.

On this Vikas Tokas again started misbehaving. When he was asked to come to the police station, he started his car and started walking on the road leading to the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi. The policemen stopped them and in the scuffle the player got hurt near his eye. After this Vikas Tokas was taken to the police station. Vikas’s father-in-law, who was SI in Delhi Police, apologized. After that development was abandoned. He says that the player is now making a false complaint.
