Bengaluru Police have detained the fan that went viral for his video claiming to jump the fence and invade the RCB vs CSK match.
The Bengaluru Police detained a young fan who had proclaimed on social media that he would invade the pitch during the ongoing match between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Chennai Super Kings taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Way before the match even took place, the fan had revealed his fool-proof plan on social media where he planned to hop the fence from a specific stand which did not have the spiked barriers to keep invaders away. He did not reveal which stand it was but the cops managed to detain him well before the game even took place. Nitin Sequeira who is a content creator based out of Bengaluru uploaded a video of his plan back on January 30.
The Bengaluru Police also had a witty response in a video which had been uploaded on their official handle on X where they said,” Nice try, Buddy! But attempting to breach security during IPL is a guaranteed six straight into our custody. Sorry, mate, you’re stumped!” The video also included a picture of Nitin however his face was blurred out.

As for the match, the game had a brief interruption but that was due to rain after the third over of the first innings. RCB however managed to get to a decent score of 218 runs on the board and have their task ahead of them in the second innings.
The RCB bowling unit will be put to the test as they would need to win the game by a margin of 18 runs or more to get their net run rate above CSK’s.

The likes of Mohammed Siraj will be expected to lead the bowling unit as they have the game in their hands. Considering their hot streak of 5 wins on the trot, RCB could very well get this win and possibly qualify for the playoffs.
But the home side will hope that the track will play in their favour and there won’t be unnecessary interruptions to sidetrack their efforts.
