VHP, Bajrang Dal Submit Petition to Prevent Traders of Other Faiths from Temple Premises in Karnataka

In their petition, the two Hindu groups warned of a reaction if such traders are allowed to do business either directly or indirectly in the temple premises or within 100 meters of the vicinity.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have submitted a petition to the Deputy Commissioner of Tumakuru city in Karnataka, asking the authorities to prevent traders of other religions from doing business inside the premises of a historic temple during the festival celebrations .

The three-day festival will begin from Thursday at the historic Gosala Gubbi Channabasaveshwara temple.

The administration has already increased security in the area to avoid any untoward incident.

In their petition, the two Hindu groups warned of a reaction if such traders are allowed to do business either directly or indirectly in or within 100 meters of the temple premises.

He has also requested the police department to ensure the implementation of the sections of the law in this regard in the Muzrai department.

“The section is very clear that there is no scope for persons of other religions to do business in the premises of temples and on religious rent. This law should be implemented,” said VHP president GK Srinivas.

The boycott trend which had settled in Karnataka comes to the fore again with the latest development.
