Police said that Akhilesh Kumar committed suicide at around 10 pm on Monday night in the godown of Lotus Valley School. A suicide note was found in his shirt pocket, in which he said that the school should not be held responsible for his death. He also alleged that he was taking the extreme step because of his wife’s illicit relationship with Santosh. He said in the note that his mother-in-law Chanda Bai had also accused Santosh of ‘sending’ other men and threatened to kill them.
An FIR was registered against Santosh and Chanda under sections 306 (abetment to suicide) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC at Sector 50 police station on Tuesday.
“The incident happened on Monday night. At present, nothing special has come to light except the suicide note. We have not made any arrests yet and are probing the matter.”
