But if reports are to be believed, it is not Shah Rukh’s close friend and filmmaker Karan Johar who will be launching the star kid. It is obvious that Zoya Akhtar will introduce Suhana through her project in Bollywood.
According to a report in Pinkvilla.com, Zoya Akhtar has bagged the lead role of her next project in Suhana Khan. Reports suggest that Zoya is working on an Indian adaptation of the international comic book Archie for a streaming platform, in which Suhana will star. “Zoya is working on the Indian adaptation of Archie, the international comic book, for the digital giant, Netflix. It is a teenage story and she is roped in several young actors to play a group of friends,” said a source.
The source added, “It is still in the initial stages, and the final paperwork will be done once the script bound for the launch of Suhana and her father Shah Rukh Khan is fined.”
Suhana is currently a student at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She returned to the US in January after spending several months with her family in Mumbai due to the Kovid-19 pandemic. Suhana aspires to become an actor but Shahrukh has put a condition that she must complete her education before entering the film industry.
Meanwhile, Shahrukh is busy these days in his upcoming project ‘Pathan’. SRK was last seen in the 2018 film, in which he played a dwarf from Meerut. The film, written by Himanshu Sharma, also starred Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Zeeshan Ayub, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Sheeba Chaddha among many others.
Pathan, which is bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, is reportedly an espionage thriller that will feature Shah Rukh playing a secret agent. The film also stars Deepika Padukone.
