Children’s commission member Brajesh Chauhan told that the father of a minor has complained to him.

A strange case has reached the Children’s Commission. A father has pleaded that the Sarpanch of the village, threatening to throw him out of the caste, got his 16-year-old son married to a 32-year-old divorced woman. He complained about this in many forums including SP Singrauli, CM Help Line, but now the woman is not ready to leave her son.

The woman says that the boy is her husband. Taking cognizance of the matter, the Children’s Commission has given instructions to register a case against the SP, police, sarpanch and woman of Singrauli. At the same time, by writing a letter to the Department of Women and Child Development, directions have been given to make the marriage of the teenager void.

Chouhan said that in relation to the minor juvenile, guidelines have been given to the Women and Child Development Department to register a case under the JJ Act against those responsible for getting the minor married, including the sarpanch, and to make the minor’s marriage void.

This is the case Children’s commission member Brajesh Chauhan told that the father of a minor has complained to him. It is told in the complaint that they have issued a decree to the minor teenager, resident of South Tola of Khutar village of Singrauli, Bal Mukund Singh, the sarpanch of the village, forcibly married the minor to a divorced woman of double age.

On not marrying, the sarpanch had issued a decree that if the boy did not accept the woman as his wife, he would be excommunicated from the caste. In the case, now the woman and her family are not leaving her son alone.
