Raya: Coming Soon: Greenfield E-way connecting Heritage City with Vrindavan. Noida News – Times of India

Noida: 6 km long greenfield expressway will be built to connect directly Bank Of Bihari in the temple Vrindavan with the proposed heritage city In Raya with Yamuna Expressway.
TOI has learned that the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will acquire 1,700 acres of land for the expressway and commercial activities, such as setting up hotels, malls and restaurants along the route. And work on the project will start this month.
The authority’s CEO Arun Veer Singh said on Thursday, “The private firm, which has prepared the detailed project report of the heritage city, will also submit a report in this regard by next week.”
A six-lane expressway starting from Raya will be built to connect it to a bridge over the Yamuna river near Vrindavan. A 2.5 km long new road is being built from the bridge to the Banke Bihari temple. A new road will also be built from Yamuna bridge to Dwarkadhish temple.
At present, there is encroachment on the road leading to Banke Bihari Temple from Vrindavan Cut of Yamuna Expressway. Officials said that toll will be collected from vehicles on the new expressway. YEIDA will bear the cost of land acquisition and construction.
In fact, the private consultant was directed earlier this month to conduct a feasibility study of the expressway up to the Dwarkadhish temple and the Banke Bihari temple. Officials said the heritage city would be developed on a public-private partnership model. To reduce the pressure of tourists from Mathura-Vrindavan circuit, the UP government has planned to build a heritage city at Raya Urban Centre.
The greenfield project was approved in 2017 as per the government’s masterplan 2031.
Raya, part of the Mathura-Vrindavan region, will have a religious village and a cultural area based on the life of Lord Krishna. In addition, there will be high-end tourist facilities like Ayurveda centre, yoga center and hotel.
