to all the fans of Ranbir Kapoor And Sourav Ganguly, there is some good news as the much-awaited biopic is all set to go on floors. According to reports, the script of Ganguly’s biopic is almost complete and it is likely that Ranbir Kapoor will play his part in the film, though it is too early to say as the project is still in its initial stages. Though Ganguly didn’t confirm it, but according to sources, the production company is looking at Ranbir Kapoor, who is also the cricketer’s choice. If reports are to be believed then the shooting of the film is going to start soon. Although there is no official confirmation yet.
Sourav Ganguly has had an illustrious career spanning several decades. He is credited with being one of the most successful captains of the Indian cricket team. A few years back the former cricketer had shared with News18 that his biopic would be made and the deal has been sealed and now it is confirmed that the script of the biopic is almost complete. Ganguly shared, “Yes, I have agreed for the biopic. It will be in Hindi but it is not possible to name the director right now. It will take a few more days to settle everything.”
Ganguly confirmed, “I will be in Mumbai for many works. The former captain and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have discussed the script of the biopic.” I am writing the script myself. Screenplay will be discussed with Luv production house. For several months, the work of making the biopic could not progress much. Actually, due to the tight schedule of me and the production house, the work was not catching up. This time, it should be done quickly.”
When asked who will play the role of Ganguly in the film, he said, “No final decision has been taken yet.” I hope we can share something positive after the meeting. Regarding the release date, Ganguly said, ‘It is not finalized yet. Script writing is almost complete. Now the next work will start. As per sources, the biopic is being made under a big banner-production house, with a budget of around Rs 200 to 250 crores kept for the film.
