Kia Launches Leasing Options on Product Line, Monthly EMI Starts at Rs 21,900 – News18

To offer a smooth ownership experience to the customers, premium car maker Kia has launched a ‘Kia Lease’ program in India. The brand has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ORIX Auto Infrastructure Services Limited, allowing interested customers to enjoy the service from multiple cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru and Pune.

As per the details shared by the company, the decision has been taken to enhance brand accessibility, offering the public a seamless way to have Kia’s ownership experience without insurance, maintenance, or resale hassle.

Monthly EMI on Products

It has been informed by the brand that the customers have now the opportunity to own their hot-selling products – Sonet, Seltos and Carens without any down payment, and enjoy them for 24 to 60 months on lease.

The monthly EMI on Sonet will start from Rs 21,900, while the compact mid-size SUV and MPV will cost Rs 28,900 and 28,800 respectively.

Commenting about the move, the company’s Chief Sales Officer, Myung-sik Sohn, said, “The Leasing model is a global megatrend, gaining momentum in India too. This model resonates particularly well with new-age consumers seeking flexible mobility solutions at appealing price points. With an industry forecast projecting 100% growth over the next 4-5 years, we anticipate our leasing service will outpace the industry growth average on account of better product range and service offerings.”

ORIX’s CEO also reacted about the same. He said, “Leasing is the next big trend in India where people are more concerned about mobility without any hassles attached to it. Leasing provides all that convenience under a single contract which offers attractive rentals linked usage, a fully serviced vehicle, insurance for full period and option to change the car on closure of lease. We expect this space to grow over the coming years.”
