SBSP president Om Prakash Rajbhar on Monday said he has sought time from Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav to discuss their alliance, indicating that the outcome of the meeting could determine his party’s stand on the presidential election. The Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) leader also said that he would wait till Tuesday to know the Samajwadi Party (SP) chief’s stand before taking a decision on who to vote for in the upcoming presidential election.

“I want to know from the SP chief that under what circumstances I was not invited to the program organized for Yashwant Sinha, the United Opposition’s candidate for the presidential election,” he said. Rajbhar said he would also discuss other issues related to the alliance, of which his party is a part. The SBSP leader, who on Friday created a stir in the opposition group by attending a dinner hosted by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in honor of NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu, said he would announce that his party would contest the July 18 elections.
