Petrol, diesel prices today: Fuel cheaper after tax cuts in Delhi, Mumbai, other cities

On Saturday, there was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel for the 13th consecutive day. Petrol was priced at Rs 96.72 per liter in Delhi and Rs 111.35 per liter in Mumbai, while diesel was being sold at Rs 89.62 per liter in Delhi and Rs 97.28 per liter in Mumbai. The prices are at a time when the central government has cut excise duty on petrol by a record Rs 8 per liter and on diesel by Rs 6 per liter on May 21.

After the reduction in excise duty, the price of petrol in Kolkata has gone up to Rs 106.03 per liter, while the price of diesel is now Rs 92.76 per litre. In Chennai, petrol was being sold at Rs 102.63 per liter and diesel at Rs 94.24 per liter on Sunday.
