One Terrorist Killed As Army, J&K Police Foil Infiltration bid Along LoC in Kashmir’s Kupwara

Srinagar: In a joint operation, the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in the border district of Kupwara in north Kashmir. A terrorist has been killed in the operation conducted in Saidpora forward area of ​​Kupwara. Police said the joint team is still combing the area to ensure that no infiltrators are left behind. It is trying to recover arms and ammunition dumped in the area.

Confirming the incident, the official handle of Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “During last night, based on a specific input generated by Kupwara Police, a joint team of Army and Police intercepted a group of infiltrators in Saidpora forward area stopped the The joint team has gunned down an intruder. This is the first infiltration attempt by terrorists in the Kashmir region, while this is the third attempt in Jammu and Kashmir this year.
