Sidhu Moose Wala Massacre: Interpol on Thursday issued a Red Corner Notice against Canadian gangster Satinderjit Singh alias Goldie Brar, who claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Musewala.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday issued a clarification that Punjab Police had requested for a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against gangster Goldie Brar on May 30, a day after the murder of singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moose Wala. Brar had claimed responsibility for the murder of Moose Wala.

Satinderjit Singh aka Goldie Brar is currently in Canada. The statement came after the Punjab Police said it had sought a Red Corner Notice against Brar 10 days before Musewala’s death.

The CBI said that communication was received from the Bureau of Investigation, Punjab Police at 12.25 pm on May 30 through an email, which had attached a letter dated May 19 seeking red notice against Brar in two FIRs registered by Punjab Police. The demand was made – FIR No. 409 dated November 12, 2020 and FIR No. 44 dated February 18, 2021 – at City Police Station, Faridkot.

Singer Musewala, 27, who had recently contested the assembly elections on a Congress ticket in Punjab, was shot dead on May 29 by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district. More than 30 empty cans of bullets were found near the SUV in which he was killed.
