According to the new notification that was released on April 1, the online registration started on April 8 and is set to continue till May 31.

Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024: Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the post of Unarmed Branch Constable should have a Graduation Degree from any recognised college or University.

Candidates applying for the positions of Armed Branch Constable, Battalion Constable, MPRO GD, Constable Handyman and Driver Constable should have passed the 9th grade from any recognised board.

For the other posts, the candidates applying for those positions should have the Class 12 pass certificate from any recognised board.

Candidates who are applying for the position of Unarmed Branch Sub Inspector should be aged between 21 to 27 years; while for the other posts, the candidate should be aged between 12 to 21 years.

Around 40 percent of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Khasi and Jaintia community; around 5 percent of the seats are reserved for candidates from the Garo community. Another 15 percent of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to other tribes.
