Kumar Ramsay is best known for writing most of the Ramsay Brothers’ horror films, including “Khoj”, starring Rishi Kapoor. His elder son Gopal told ABP News that he breathed his last at his residence in Hiranandani here.

Gopal while talking to ABP News correspondent said, “He passed away today at around 5.30 am due to cardiac arrest. He passed away very peacefully. The last rites will be held at around 12 noon. We are waiting for the priest to come. are.” Ravi Jain.

Kumar was the son of producer FU Ramsay and the eldest of seven brothers. The Ramsay Brothers, which included Keshu, Tulsi, Karan, Shyam, Gangu and Arjun, ruled the horror genre in the 70s and 80s, making low-budget cult films. All six brothers have already passed away, Nandu Ramsay, the youngest of the seven brothers, is alive.

Kumar played a key role in the scripts of most of his films, including “Old Mandir” (1984), “Saya” (1989), which starred Shatrughan Sinha, and the 1989 hit “Khoj”, which also starred Naseeruddin Shah. was. He asked “who else?” He also produced films like (1979) and “Panic” in 1981.

Kumar is survived by wife Sheela and three sons Raj, Gopal and Sunil.
