New Delhi: A video in which a little girl is seen crying after the demise of her father is being shared widely on social media. The girl is the daughter of a Jammu and Kashmir police officer, who was martyred in the Bandipora terror attack on Friday evening.
The 23-second long video was shared with the Twitter handle of Jammu and Kashmir Police. The tweet read, ‘We stand with the family and assure you that the terrorists responsible for making you an orphan will soon be brought to justice.
The identity of the child seen in the video is Mohd. Sultan’s daughter who was martyred in the terrorist attack. As the investigation of the case is underway, the viral video evokes emotions in the viewers as it reminds them of all those who have lost their lives.
The incident took place on Friday evening at Gulshan Chowk in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. Two policemen lost their lives in the attacks. One of them was SGCT Mohammad Sultan and the other CT was Fayaz Ahmed.
According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the terrorists opened fire on the policemen posted at Gulshan Chowk. Both the policemen were injured and were taken to the hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.
“Terrorists fired upon a police party in Gulshan Chowk area of #Bandipora. In this #terrorist incident, 02 police personnel named SGCT Mohammad Sultan and CT Fayaz Ahmed got injured and attained martyrdom. The area has been cordoned off. Further details will follow”: Kashmir Police tweeted and informed about the attack.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police also said that the search is on for the terrorists who attacked the police.
