Makers say release of Varun Tej’s ‘Ghani’ postponed to ‘avoid conflict’

The makers of Ghani have now postponed the release.

The film was scheduled to release in the third week of December this year.

Actor Varun Tej has wrapped up shooting for his sports drama film ‘Ghani’ and the film was supposed to hit the silver screens in the third week of December. However, the makers of Ghani have now postponed the release. The film’s producer Geeta Arts said that the new release date will be announced soon.

In its tweet, Geeta Arts said: “The release of Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Ghani is being rescheduled. However, the tweet did not specify a new release date. Instead, it stated that the new release date is coming soon. Will be announced. The tweet also mentioned that the film will release in theaters only. The post tagged Mega Prince. The tweet also carries a cute note along with it.

The note mentions that the reason for postponing the release was that the industry is still recovering from the effects of the pandemic. And hence, looking at the number of films slated to release in the coming weeks, the makers do not want Ghani to clash with any other film. They have taken into account the impact it will have on everyone’s business. The note further added that the film will premiere soon and it is going to be a memorable experience for all.

The film is directed by Kiran Korrapati, and produced by Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby. Apart from Mega Prince, the film also stars Jagapathi Babu, Saiee Manjrekar, Suniel Shetty and Naveen Chandra.
