While talking to news agency ANI, Gehlot said, ‘I have spoken to DG Police. Police and administration are present there. Meanwhile, former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia on Saturday held state government officials responsible for the incident in Karauli during a motorcycle rally to celebrate the Hindu New Year. The incident could have been avoided had the administration been alert, he said. The former chief minister also demanded strict action against the culprits.

Karauli’s police control room initially said that over 35 people were injured. The ADG said that many of the injured were discharged after first aid, while around 10 were admitted to a local hospital and one was referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur in a critical condition.

Section 144 implemented in Karauli, internet suspended
