Like bottle gourd which is also called bottle gourd and its peel is full of nutrition. Chutney made from gourd peels is tasty as well as healthy.

You must have tasted gourd chutney, but you will be surprised to know that a spicy and tasty chutney can be made from gourd peels as well. Bottle gourd or bottle gourd is very healthy and nutritious. This vegetable contains essential nutrients like vitamins, fiber, folate, iron, magnesium and potassium. It also contains less saturated fat which is essential for reducing weight and cholesterol levels.

Including bottle gourd vegetable in your diet improves your heart health and also treats urinary tract infections. It is also considered a good diet for diabetic patients. Similarly, gourd peels also contain many nutrients and the chutney made from them is also beneficial and tasty. Gourd peels improve digestion and a lot of fiber is found in gourd peels. So, if you have never tried making gourd peel chutney, here is a simple method to prepare it.

Ingredients for making Lauki Ke Chilke Chutney:

Bottle gourd peels (soaked in water) – 1 cup

Tomato – 2

Sesame – 100 grams

Red chili powder – 1 tsp

Sugar – 2 tsp

Garlic cloves – 4 to 5

Oil – 1 tbsp

salt – as per taste

Chutney preparation method:

First wash the gourd peels thoroughly and then soak them in water for half an hour. When the peels become soft, filter the water and cut the peels into pieces. After this, chop some tomatoes and garlic cloves. Now put 1 tbsp oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, add chopped tomatoes and gourd peels to it, mix well and fry for 5 minutes.

When the tomatoes become soft, add red chilli powder, chopped garlic pieces, sugar and salt as per taste. Mix all the ingredients well and let it cook for 2 more minutes. After this, turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down. Now put this mixture in a grinder and make a fine paste. Then take out this mixture in a bowl and add sesame seeds over it. You can also add roasted sesame seeds. Delicious chutney of gourd peel is ready, you can serve it with puri or parantha as well.
