Congress’s troubles have increased with the entry of third candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections.

In order to avoid the danger of cross voting in the Rajya Sabha elections, the Congress is sending its MLAs from Haryana to Raipur. In a short time, a team of about 30 MLAs and state Congress office bearers will reach Raipur. Arrangements have been made to accommodate them in a hotel and a resort in the Nava Raipur area.

Elections are being held for two Rajya Sabha seats in the Haryana Legislative Assembly consisting of 90 MLAs. Congress has given ticket to Ajay Maken from here. On the other hand, BJP has made Krishnalal Panwar its candidate. Meanwhile, Kartikeya Sharma, son of former Union Minister Vinod Sharma, has filed his nomination as an independent candidate. Karthikeya has the support of JJP and independents.

In Haryana, 31 votes are needed to win the Rajya Sabha. Congress has 31 MLAs there, but Karthikeya Sharma’s claim has trapped the screw. It is also difficult that Kartikeya’s father-in-law Kuldeep Sharma is also an MLA from Congress. It was reported that he was lobbying his son-in-law against Ajay Maken. On Thursday, the central leadership had called all the MLAs to Delhi. After that all the people are being sent to Raipur. Till now the presence of Kuldeep Sharma in this team has not been confirmed.

These MLAs have done “pen scandal” in 2016
Congress is scared of history in Haryana. The Rajya Sabha had one seat in the 2016 Rajya Sabha election. Indian National Lok Dal and Congress had jointly given ticket to RK Anand here. With the support of BJP, Subhash Chandra fielded as an independent candidate. Bhupendra Hooda’s camp in Congress was not happy at that time. When the elections were held, the votes of 16 Congress MLAs were cancelled. Reason- The special ink pen which was given for voting, those MLAs did not use it to vote. The result was that Subhash Chandra easily reached the Rajya Sabha.
