Due to low pressure, there will be strong wind, heavy rain in many districts of South Bengal

There is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts of South Bengal on Monday. This prognosis is caused by depression. The Meteorological Department said that in some districts the rain could be up to 200 mm. Due to this, an orange alert has been issued in South Bengal. The Meteorological Department said that the rain may continue on Monday as well as on Tuesday. Meanwhile, due to deep pressure, strong winds will prevail over the coastal districts. The Meteorological Department said that there will be strong winds in Kolkata as well.

According to the Meteorological Department, the depression formed over the north and central Bay of Bengal is gradually intensifying and turning into a deep depression. It is said that this pressure is gradually moving towards the Orissa coast. After this, this pressure will enter the coastal areas of North Orissa and West Bengal. Then it will turn into a deep depression. It will run from Orissa to North Chhattisgarh. The sea will be rough due to low pressure. Winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kmph. The Alipore Meteorological Department has banned fishermen from going to sea till Tuesday.




Orange warning of heavy rain in two districts- South 24 Parganas and East Midnapore on Monday. Heavy rain is expected in Kolkata, Birbhum, West Burdwan, West Midnapore, Howrah, Jhargram, Bankura and Purulia. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are also likely over rest of South Bengal. Heavy rain up to 100 mm likely in North 24 Parganas, Bankura, East Burdwan, Hooghly, Howrah.

In the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature in Kolkata will be around 32 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 28 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, there is no chance of heavy rain in North Bengal at present. However, in the next 48 hours, there is a possibility of rain accompanied by lightning in North Bengal.
