62 people have been found corona positive at Matoshree Old Age Home in Thane, near Mumbai. This Old Age Home is in Khadawali of Bhiwandi Tehsil of Thane District. Among those found corona positive, 55 are senior citizens, who live in old age homes. Rest 7 people are employees of this old age home.

The reports of all the infected were found positive on Saturday night. After this, the Old Age Home Administration immediately admitted him to Thane Civic Hospital and started treatment. According to Ashok Patil, medical in-charge and manager of Old Age Home, all the senior citizens found positive had taken both doses of the corona vaccine. The district administration has declared the entire area as a containment zone. Health workers have been ordered to conduct a health survey of all the people of the area.

New guidelines for international passengers will be applicable from December 1
The central government on Sunday evening issued revised guidelines for international passengers regarding the new corona variant Omicron. According to the Union Health Ministry, now the international passenger will have to upload his travel history and negative RT-PCR report on the Air Suvidha Portal of the Central Government before starting the journey.

Earlier, the Union Home Ministry had talked about presenting the guidelines afresh during the emergency meeting in the day itself. The Union Health Ministry issued revised guidelines late on Sunday evening. The new guidelines will come into effect from December 1.

In the new guidelines, travelers coming to India from any international destination will be asked for a record of their travel history of the last 14 days, that is, which country they visited during this period. This exercise is being done so that it can be seen that during this time they did not go to the countries included in the ‘At Risk’ list by the Central Government.

Apart from this, they will also have to show negative RT-PCR report. Passengers will have to upload both these reports on the Air Suvidha Portal of Government of India before starting their journey.

CM Thackeray holds emergency meeting with Maharashtra Health Department
The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) announced making it mandatory to show a vaccination certificate for traveling in government bus services in Mumbai from Monday. BEST operates the government bus service in Mumbai. BEST said that from Monday only those passengers will be allowed to board the bus, who will show certificates of taking both doses of corona vaccine.

On the other hand, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray held an emergency meeting with the state health department officials on Sunday. After the meeting, CM Thackeray said that if the people of the state do not want another lockdown, then they will have to strictly follow the Kovid protocol. 832 new positive cases were found in Maharashtra on Sunday, while 33 people died due to corona infection. There are still 8,193 active patients in the state.

Tourists coming from ‘at risk’ countries will have RT-PCR test at Delhi airport
