A 26-year-old CISF constable committed suicide here on Thursday after he allegedly shot himself at the city airport. police gave this information. Police identified the victim as Yashpal, a native of Rajasthan, and said the incident took place in a restroom at the international departure where he had allegedly locked himself before taking the extreme step.
He shot himself with his service weapon. Hearing the sound of bullets, officers and others reached the spot. No suicide note was found and the constable may have died due to suspicious workload, police said, adding that the investigation was on.
Later the body was taken for postmortem.
