MumbaiThe wait is over as Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for “Cinderella,” starring Camila Ceballo. Adding a new twist to the story, the makers will showcase the struggle of Ella, who wants to fulfill her dream of owning a boutique store. Modern-day music provides a bold take on the traditional fairy tale we grew up listening to.
Our aspiring heroine Ella doesn’t want to marry a prince and instead wants to create opportunities for herself. With the help of her fab g (a genderless fairy godparent) aka Billy Porter, she aims to fulfill her dreams.
Despite facing obstacles and taunts by her stepmother, she remains determined to fulfill her wishes. When the king announces a ball to choose a wife for his son, Ella decides to use the opportunity and show off her own designed clothes to the others.
While Ella’s stepmother acts as a deterrent, Fab G comes to her rescue. Dressed in dazzling golden gowns, the angels engage in a fun feast with the god Ella.
‘Cinderella’ Cast
While Camila Cabello plays the lead, Nicolas Galitzin will be seen as Prince Robert. Idina Menzel plays Cinderella’s vicious stepmother, while Minnie Driver will play Queen Beatrice. The much-awaited film also has stars Billy Porter and Pierce Brosnan in the lead roles.
‘Cinderella’ will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 3, 2021. Kay Cannon has directed the film, which will feature covers of songs written by best-selling music artists.
