Lotus corona infection rate, zero death in 18 districts including North 24 Parganas on Tuesday

As the number of sample tests increased, so did the graph of coronavirus infection in West Bengal. However, the rate of infection has decreased. At the same time, the number of daily casualties has once again come down to one figure.

According to the bulletin issued by the state health department on Tuesday, 729 new cases have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours. At that time 43,532 samples were tested. In other words, the infection rate stood at 1.6 percent. There has been a slight drop in the infection rate on Monday. From 9 am on Sunday to 9 am on Monday, 575 people were affected. Overall, the total number of corona cases in the state is 15,30,024. North 24 Parganas (7) is at the top in terms of district wise transmission. It is followed by Jalpaiguri (7), Kolkata (59), Darjeeling (57), South 24 Parganas (45) and Nadia (43). Dakshin Dinajpur (two), Malda (five), West Burdwan (seven) and Purulia (eight) have the highest number of daily attacks.

Meanwhile, the death toll in the state has gone down to 10 in the last 24 hours. During this nine people have died. The maximum death occurred in Darjeeling. Two died in Nadia and Howrah. The death toll is one in East Burdwan and Hooghly. No death is reported from North 24 Parganas including Kolkata. Overall, the death toll from corona in the state has increased to 16,160 (1.19 per cent).

The death toll in the state as well as the number of active victims declined on Tuesday. In the last 24 hours, 657 people have been freed from Corona. As a result, the total number of healthy patients has gone up to 15,01,07. Which is 97.11 percent in percentage terms. The number of active patients has come down from 36 to 10.8 as the number of healthy patients is slightly less than the number of daily infections.
