Chhattisgarh News: Eleven personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force were injured when a storm hit Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district on Friday (May 19) afternoon, an official said.

Inspector General of Police Bastar Sundarraj P said the camp of the 241st battalion, located at Sedwa village under Dharbha police station area, about 336 km from state capital Raipur, was heavily damaged.

“11 CRPF personnel were injured in the incident. The residential quarters of the jawans were damaged in the storm as tin sheets were blown away in the storm, causing roofing, power lines, iron frames and false ceilings,” he said. ” “The wind speed was so strong that tin sheets were scattered all over the camp and several trees were uprooted. The injured jawans have been admitted to the battalion hospital and are out of danger,” the IG said.
