Protests by Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) candidates against the state government over a paper leak turned violent in Patna on Wednesday. The Bihar Police lathi-charged the candidates and arrested some of them. The students were demanding the cancellation of the Clerk grade written exam conducted by the BSSC after the paper was leaked.
“They started violence and vandalism and to control it (lathicharge) was done. Some have been arrested. FIR will be lodged against them,” said Patna’s Special Executive Magistrate MS Khan, news agency ANI quoted. ”
