Candice Warner Claims Her Husband, David Warner Has Been ‘Isolated’ In Recent Team Speculations
The shocking statements of Candice Warner, wife of star Australian batsman David Warner, has created quite a stir in the Australian cricket fraternity. he blamed Cricket Australia (CA) offered minimal help to her cricketer husband who was embroiled in the infamous ball-tampering saga in the 2017 tour of South Africa.
“Basically, David was wiped out from the time we left the hotel in South Africa. was not Cricket Australian officials are helping them. there was nothing. It’s like you basically defend yourself now. It was basically, wait for yourself, see you later. Thank you for your services,” Mrs Warner revealed in a recent podcast.

Candice had earlier appeared on an Australian news debate show called ‘Back Page’ where she supported her husband who is dealing with a rough patch at least in the longest format of the game. David, who is currently leading Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023, was named in Australia’s Test squad for the Ashes and is also certain to be selected for the World Test Championship final against India.

Candice claimed her husband has been ‘isolated’ amid the ongoing speculation about the team. When the show’s host suggested that the batsman needed to start the campaign well, he said, “Of course he does. But so does the whole team.”
“If Dave doesn’t perform in that first Test, who would he better bring in? His form was not good in the last Ashes. I think Stuart Broad had (seven) times his number. So he didn’t like it. And he hasn’t done well there in the past. But who do you cast,” she added.
Earlier fast bowler Mitchell Johnson was surprised by this statement of Candice. in his latest column for the west australiaThe latter wrote that David should feel the heat because of his lack of it.

“We all applaud Warner’s tremendous career as an opening batsman and what he has achieved. But it’s not about that,” Johnson wrote.
His form has not deteriorated of late. Warner also defended his wife, Candice, in a panel appearance on the TV show The Back Page this week.
“His loyalty can be commendable but it was a bit strange and appalling when he said that if Dave didn’t perform in that first Test, who would they better bring in? I hate that argument. If players were judged only on their past achievements, Dennis Lillee would still be opening the bowling for Australia and Ricky Ponting would be batting at No.3,” Johnson further wrote.
