6 crores spent on corona patient like this: one lakh spent daily to stay alive after coming out of acmo, 15-16 thousand only on diet

After getting infected with Corona, more than 6 crore rupees were spent in the treatment of the deceased farmer Dharamjay Singh of Rewa, who was treated in the hospital for the maximum time for 257 days. The expenditure of such a huge amount in Corona is also in discussion in itself. After all, in what so much money was spent, the farmer’s elder brother Pradeep Singh told about this and how he arranged this money.

Dharamjay came out of Exo Machine after six and a half months on November 21. His lungs were also working 80%. He even started sitting and talking, but after a few days suddenly his health deteriorated and he lost his life due to brain hemorrhage.

Just wanted to save my brother’s life somehow
In a conversation with Bhaskar from Chennai, Dharamjay’s elder brother Pradeep told that nothing was more important than his brother’s life. Nor did any member of the family think anything about the money, just to save them. The daily treatment fee in Chennai Apollo Hospital was only 2.5 to 3 lakh rupees. This included the charges for keeping them in the Ecmo system as well as the fees for all the doctors’ rounds. Now sometimes it would have cost three or three and a half lakh rupees.

The fee for changing the oxygenator was different. There is infection in it, so change it 3-4 times every month. He used to take 5-8 lakh rupees separately for this, he used to change the oxygenator four times in a month. In such a situation, 70-80 lakh rupees were spent every month. When the brother got infected, the need for medicine was more, due to less time, the money was less.

One lakh expenses per day on coming out of acmo
When he came out of Acmo on 21st November, the hospital expenses came to around one lakh rupees per day. After coming out, the fees for doctor’s rounds, machine as well as some other things were reduced. Apart from this, he used to take 15-16 thousand rupees every day for the food of the patient. There is a very high bill here. The fee for the call of a London doctor is also taken from the patient. 35 lakhs was spent from Rewa to Chennai Apollo.

Villagers came for help, but did not take
The villagers also came forward to help for such an expensive treatment of Corona, but the patient’s family refused. The treatment took 6 crores, which was collected from family-relatives.

Dharmajay greatly helped the needy in the second wave of Corona. He had turned the house itself into a grocery store.
