The case will remind Netflix viewers of the 2020 Polish erotic drama, 365 days, in which a Warsaw woman is imprisoned by a Sicilian crime lord who gave her 365 days to fall in love with him.

The film, based on the first novel of a trilogy by Blanca Lipinska, stars Michelle Morrone and Anna-Maria Cicluca in the lead roles. Though it has been one of the most-watched shows on the OTT platform, the film also received negative reviews due to its depiction of sexual violence. Many also found it glorifying the mafia.
