Hassan: A 32-year-old woman was murdered in Doddapura village on Wednesday evening by a youth who refused to be in touch with her.
Revathi is survived by husband Guruprasad and two children Vasant, 12, and Tanushree, 8. The family was dependent on agriculture for livelihood.
Police said that Latesh, a married woman from the same village, is the accused.
latesho Police said that Revathi had been torturing her for a month to leave her husband and marry him. Police said that he had also threatened to kill him if he refused to do so.
Latesh was washing clothes at Revathi’s house. Police said that he approached her and when she resisted, he killed her with a sharp object.
case is registered Hasan Hassan’s deputy SP GV Udayabhaskar said that the rural police station.
One person has been taken into custody for questioning.
