Today, kids are often seen glued to iPads and the internet, sparking worries among parents. Playing games, watching videos and scrolling through social media can be fun, but too much screen time at such an early age can cause problems. It can mess with sleep, make kids less active and even affect their attention span. According to Happinetz, a leading parental control filter box, 42 per cent of children under 12 spend an average of two to four hours daily on screen time. Recently, some parents’ well-intentioned plan to help their little girl give up her internet addiction backfired in an “adorable” way.
The parents got the girl a dog, thinking that she would play with him and not her iPad. However, things took a turn when both the dog and the young girl began sharing their screen time. A video that shows a young girl and her pet dog lying on the floor and watching something on an iPad together is amusing internet. The caption of this video read, “They got her a dog, thinking it would help her give up the internet. Now both are addicted.”
