Vishal Dadlani’s father passes away, regrets not being with mother as she tests COVID positive

Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani, who has tested positive for COVID, lost his father after his gall bladder surgery worsened, and said he couldn’t even be there for his mother during her toughest of times.

Dadlani posted a picture of his father on Instagram on Saturday and wrote: “Mr. Moti Dadlani (12 May 1943 -8 Jan 2022). Last night I lost my best friend, the best and kindest person on earth. I Couldn’t have asked. For a better father, or a better person to be my teacher for the rest of my life. It’s just a mild reflection of what’s good in me.”

The musician said: “He was in ICU for the last 3/4 days (due to gall bladder surgery which got worse) but I couldn’t go since yesterday as I tested positive for Covid.

“I can’t even go to hold my mom in her toughest of times. It’s really not fair.”

“Thankfully, my sister is handling everything with more strength than I can muster. I don’t know how to live in a world without her. I’m completely lost.”

Dadlani is seen as a judge in the singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ along with Himesh Reshammiya and Shankar Mahadevan.
