In Rohtak, Haryana, a Home Guard jawan posted on police duty has been accused of intoxication in uniform. CCTV footage has revealed that he pulls the bike rider from the bike in the midst of the crowd and throws punches at him by slamming him on the ground. The injured person is undergoing medical treatment and doctors have told fractures at many places in his body.
Police has registered a case against Home Guard jawan Manudev after MLR. But earlier, on the complaint of the Home Guard jawan, a case was registered against Sunil of the injured Asan village for tearing the uniform and obstructing government duty and assault.

The video which has surfaced of Manudev being assaulted by Home Guard jawan near Sheela Bypass Chowk gate in Rohtak is from May 13. On this day, State Home and Health Minister Anil Vij had come to Rohtak to participate in the meeting of the Jan Parivedna Samiti. There was a tussle between home guard Manudev and Sunil when Vij’s convoy was passing through Sonepat road.

In the viral video, the person whom the home guard is thrashing badly was identified as Sunil (48) of village Asan. He is undergoing medical treatment. On his complaint, a case has been registered against Home Guard jawan Manudev in civil lines under section 323,506 IPC. It is written in Sunil’s FIR that he does farming work.
On May 13, at around 12 o’clock, riding on his bike, was going from Sonepat stand towards Sheela Bye Pass. When Kishanpura reached the tea point, there was a VIP movement. The traffic police had stopped the vehicles from one side and a home guard jawan was standing there. He requested her to let him go, but he misbehaved and used abusive language. Also threatened him that after going to VIP, I will see you.
When he started leaving after passing the VIP convoy, the home guard stopped him and took out the key of the bike. Then another jawan got the key back. When I started going on the bike, that home guard caught my bike from behind. Then he picked me up, threw me down and started beating me badly. The people around rescued him and due to the many injuries, an ambulance was called and admitted to the medical.

A case has been registered against Sunil under section 186/353/506 IPC on the complaint of Manudev, a resident of Home Guard Jawan Titoli, before Sunil’s complaint in Police Station Civil Line. Manudev has said in the FIR that he does duty in the Home Guard Department, Rohtak. On May 13, Honorable Home Minister Anil Vij had a program in Rohtak and was on duty with one of his constable Jagbir at Kishanpura T POINT.
At 12:20 in the afternoon, the VIP convoy was passing, then it had stopped the vehicles on one side at the T-point. At the same time, a bike rider who was Sunil, started insisting on leaving. He explained to her that VIPs are about to come, wait a bit. But that person started abusing her. Abusing mother and sister badly.
The VIP convoy was not even complete that he drove the bike. When he stopped him, he drove away the bike. When he stopped him at some distance, he abused and assaulted him, both of them fell on the road in a scuffle. In the fight, he tore the uniform and threatened to kill him. Sunil has harassed and abused him by obstructing the government work.

Investigating officer of the case ASI Somvir Singh said that Home Guard Javchan Manudev and Sunil of Asan had given complaints against each other. Police have registered a case against each other from both the sides under different sections. The matter is being investigated in an impartial manner. CCTV footage will also be examined.
