Grace Hayden enjoyed the famous Hyderabadi Biryani at the Paradise Biryani joint.

Former Australia batter Matthew Hayden’s daughter, Grace, recently joined the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fans at the famous Paradise Biryani, which has been serving customers since 1953. Grace, who is a popular content creator with over one lakh Instagram followers, is currently working as a TV presenter for Star Sports India. To enjoy her hearty lunch with SHR fans, the 21-year-old mentioned that she specially wore an orange dress to match the SRH team colour.

In between enjoying the delicious meal, Grace and SRH fans discussed how the team is faring in the league. At some point, Grace asked the fans what is the best way to eat biryani and they all said, the dish tastes best when eaten by hand. She promptly ditched the spoon and enjoyed the biryani with her hands. She finished the meal with khubani-ka-meetha, a sticky dessert made with dried apricots.

While sharing the video of Grace’s scrumptious meal, the X account of Star Sports read, “Biryani in Hyderabad is an emotion! Experience the essence of Hyderabad with Grace Hayden as she indulges in the iconic Hyderabadi Biryani alongside passionate Sun Risers fans!”

Grace is not the only Australian who tried the Hyderabad Biryani when they were in the city. A few weeks ago Australian cricketer and SRH captain Pat Cummins visited a Hyderabadi restaurant with his whole family. The 31-year-old shared a picture from the restaurant and thanked the restaurant staff for their great service. He wrote, “Great day out with the family in Hyderabad. For their first time in India, we had to take them out for a Hyderabadi Biryani, so good! Thanks Southern Mirchi for hosting us, don’t think we’ll need to eat for the rest of the week!”

This year, SRH has emerged as one of the leading teams in the IPL. On Thursday, SRH became the third team to get a spot in the IPL 2024 playoffs after rain washed out their match against Gujarat Titans. SRH will be joining Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals in the playoffs. SRH stands at third position with 15 points. The final match for IPL 2024 is scheduled for May 26, Sunday.
