A vacancy has been created at the top level, allowing new officers to take charge of key areas and a massive recruitment drive is underway for the lower level.

According to top government officials, the reason for the transfer of senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the IB is that two officers – AS Rajan and Swagat Das – belonged to the 1987 batch and were senior to Deka who was the 1988-batch IPS. Huh. Officer. The other officers – Manoj Kumar Lal and Manoj Yadav – moved out of the IB, were Deka’s batch mates.

However, others say that the government only looks at batches and treats everyone equally for appointments.

It was expected that if Deka becomes the director of IB, there will be massive changes at the top level. The officers have been troubleshooters for the government on several occasions and have been handling issues thoroughly.
Deka removed four officers who handled the operations and were involved in managing the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

“After Deka’s appointment, it was expected that at least four officers would be dropped from the IB. Deka specializes in dealing with issues related to terrorism as well as Naxalites, which are the two biggest problems for India’s internal security,” a senior IPS officer told News18.

At a lower level, the IB plans to recruit 766 officers and staff, including intelligence officers.

Ministry of Home Affairs has released the vacancy circular for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-I (70 Vacancies), Junior Intelligence Officer (50 Vacancies), Junior Intelligence Officer-II (100 Vacancies), Security Assistant (100 Vacancies), Junior Intelligence Officer-I Is. (20 Vacancies), Junior Intelligence Officer-Grade-II (35 Vacancies), Security Assistant (20 Vacancies) in addition to other vacancies of Support Staff.

“The minimum tenure of deputation shall be 3 or 5 years (depending on the RR of the post applied) which may be extended up to a maximum of 7 years and the following shall be the additional allowances that a deputationist would be eligible to receive during his IB/BOI in tenure,” the circular says.

This will give a boost to IB which is facing acute shortage of staff since last many years.
