Uttar Pradesh: New assembly ministers may get oath after March 20

new Delhi: After getting the mandate of BJP in Uttar Pradesh in the recently concluded assembly elections, It is clear that Yogi Adityanath will become CM again. However, it is not yet confirmed whether he will have a deputy CM again this time.

During his last rule, he had two deputy chief ministers who were Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma. Maurya belonged to the OBC category and Sharma belonged to the Brahmin community.

It is clear that Sharma will not be a part of Yogi’s cabinet this time as he did not contest this election. Rather, they can be given some more responsibility at the national level.

Second Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has lost the election, but the party may give him some more responsibility.

As the BJP eyes the 2024 general elections, a cabinet will be formed with fair distribution among all castes. Some senior party leaders want UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh to be made deputy chief minister in the state.

Singh belongs to the Kurmi community and may be given the responsibility as the Deputy Chief Minister. And Maurya will probably be given the responsibility of state president of BJP. The final decision will be taken in Delhi.

Yogi Adityanath will reach Delhi on Sunday morning where he will meet BJP National President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will also meet BJP general secretary BS Santosh.

UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh and party secretary Sunil Bansal have also been called to Delhi. Tomorrow’s marathon meeting will likely finalize the date of the swearing-in ceremony as well as the UP cabinet.

There are also rumors that baby Rani Maurya may be made the deputy CM. Maurya has served as the Governor of Uttarakhand and is currently serving as the National Vice President of the BJP. She belongs to the Jatav community and has been elected from Agra which is considered a stronghold of Dalit voters.

Using Maurya, BJP is eyeing Mayawati’s Jatav vote bank as the BSP is relatively weak right now. According to a CSDS survey, 21 percent of the people of the Jatav community have voted for the BJP.

The votes of this community can make a significant addition to the BJP’s votes in the 2024 elections. Asim Arun, who belongs to this community, has also been elected from Kannauj for the first time.

Before joining politics, Arun was the Commissioner of Kanpur. He had nine years of service left before joining politics. Arun is likely to get a place in the new Yogi cabinet.

If Yogi Adityanath will have three or four deputy chief ministers, then one of the names of Brajesh Pathak can also be there. He can replace Dinesh Sharma as he has always been vocal about the demands of Brahmins.

He is in the good books of Amit Shah, JP Nadda and even Rajnath Singh. He is elected from Lucknow Cantt. He has been vocal against the state government many times.

Dayashankar Singh, elected from Ballia, can also be selected in the cabinet. He has been a veteran of the BJP and his wife Swati Singh has also been a minister in the Yogi government.

This time both Anand Swaroop Shukla and Upendra Tiwari have lost from Ballia seat, raising the chances of Dayashankar Singh as he has been close to Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath and even Dharmendra Pradhan.

According to sources, Rajnath Singh’s son Pankaj Singh can also be made a minister in the UP cabinet. He has won from Noida for the second time.

Apart from these, some shocking faces from the OBC and SC community may get the ministry this time, especially from seats where the party has performed either very well or very poorly.

Ministers like Mahendra Singh, Siddharth Nath and Shrikant Sharma may be reappointed in the cabinet.

A senior party leader said there is also a possibility that this time there will be no deputy chief minister and VIP candidates will be given important portfolios.
