The incident – the second of its kind in an Air India international flight – came to light on Thursday. Sources said aviation regulator DGCA is looking into the matter.

Earlier, on Thursday, the DGCA has said that Air India’s conduct in the matter relating to Mumbai businessman urinating on a female co-passenger on AI New York-New Delhi flight on November 26, 2022 was unprofessional and a systemic failure. resulted in non-compliance of provisions relating to handling of an unruly passenger on-board.

It issued show-cause notices to senior Air India officials, pilots and cabin crew of the flight following a report by the airline on the incident.
