PM Modi approves setting up of 157 government nursing colleges

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday passed a new step for eEstablish 157 Government Nursing Colleges. It aims to graduate around 15,700 nursing aspirants every year. This will increase the job prospects of nurses in the country. It will also improve the rural-urban imbalance in the health sector. These new government colleges will be co-located with the existing medical institutions which have been recognized by the Modi government since 2014.

Manish Sisodia’s bail application rejected in liquor scam case

The bail application of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor scam case has been rejected by the special CBI court. The former Deputy Chief Minister has now been sent to judicial custody till May 12. Indians evacuated from Sudan through Operation Kaveri

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) informed that approx. 2400 Indians have been evacuated from trouble-torn Sudan through its Operation Kaveri, Sharing details on its recent evacuation, the ministry said that around 300 passengers were evacuated by INS Sumedha from Port Sudan to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This was the 13th batch of Indians to be evacuated safely from Sudan.
