UP: Woman set on fire by family of molestation accused, injured succumb Lucknow News – Times of India

Mahoba: A 30-year-old woman, who was allegedly set on fire by the parents of a man in a molestation case lodged by the victim, died during treatment at a hospital. The police gave this information on Tuesday.
The woman who set fire in Thatewada village of Kulpahar area died on Sunday. Jhansi Medical College on Monday, Station House Officer (SHO) Kulpahar Mahendra Pratap Singh said.
Police said that angry over the registration of a case against the son, the parents of the accused poured kerosene on the woman and set her on fire.
The woman, in her statement to the magistrate on Sunday, said on Saturday that she had filed a case against her neighbor Vipin. Yadav (31) To beat and molest him. Later the accused was taken into custody.
In his statement, he had alleged, “The parents of the accused, angry over the registration of the case, poured kerosene on him and set him on fire.”
The SHO said that Yadav and his mother were arrested on Monday and sent to jail. His father is absconding and search is on to nab him.
