Lucknow: BJP MP and Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, facing allegations of sexual harassment of Indian wrestlers, will hold a Jan Chetna Maha rally in Ayodhya on June 5. Ayodhya, the center of Hindutva politics, with the support of local saints.

Brijbhushan has been holding several meetings with saints and seers and reminding them of his active participation in the temple movement. He is also closely in talks with Rajput leaders to seek their support for him. According to sources, the rally has been designed as a show of strength and aimed at showcasing the “immense popularity” of the embattled BJP MP.


A BJP leader from Gonda said, “It is a signal to the BJP leadership that any action against Brij Bhushan may enrage the saints as well as the Rajputs, who have their support in this part of the state.” ” On Thursday, Brij Bhushan shared a poster of the upcoming event on his Facebook page, saying the seer is “calling on the public to participate”.

“Param poojya sant mahapurushon ka aavhaan, 5 June Ayodhya chalo, Jan chetna maharally, sathiyon apka Ayodhya me swagat hai (Respected saints request your presence in Ayodhya on 5 June for Jan Chetna Maha Rally),” Singh wrote. Brij Bhushan’s representative Sanjeev Singh said that arrangements for the rally are being made by the MP’s team, but it is being held under the leadership of saints and seers.

“Sages from across the country, especially from North India, social organizations and jurists and counselors are being invited. Social groups from all castes and communities are being invited. Ayodhya, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Saints from Gujarat etc. are being invited.” are being invited.
