A case of raping two sisters has come to light in Samaypur Badli area of North West Delhi. Of these, one girl child is six months old and the other girl is 14 years old, who is mentally unwell. Police say that one of the accused has been arrested after a minor encounter. At the same time, the second accused is absconding.
The arrested accused has been identified as Kamal Malhotra alias Chinu, a 40-year-old resident of Jahangirpuri, police said. One country-made pistol, one live cartridge and one blank cartridge have been recovered from him. At the same time, efforts are on to nab the second accused Raj alias Raju.
The girl’s parents, in a complaint lodged with the police, told that they have two daughters – a 14-year-old, who is mentally unsound and cannot even speak properly. At the same time, the second daughter is 6 months old. When he returned home after work on Friday evening, he could not find girls in the house. Then the wife heard their crying in the neighborhood and she reached there. There he saw Chinu and Raju raping the girls. On seeing the woman, both the accused fled away.
Police say that both the accused were intoxicated at the time of the incident.
One accused arrested in encounter
Police said that a team was formed to search for both of them. On Saturday, Chinu was reported to be in a park near Samaypur Badli metro station. On reaching there, he was asked to surrender, but he did not agree and opened fire. He was shot in the leg in retaliatory firing by the police, after which he was apprehended.
Both the accused were intoxicated at the time of the incident
During interrogation, it was found that Chinu used to work as a laborer, but was currently unemployed. Both committed the alleged crime after consuming alcohol. At present, the girls are admitted in the hospital and the police are searching for the absconding accused Raju.
