TS EAMCET 2023: Over 53,000 More Candidates To Sit For Entrance Exam This Year

Agriculture and Medical streams have also seen a rise in the number of applicants. Authorities in Telangana have received over 17,000 additional applications

Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has closed the registration link for Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET), The registration for the entrance exam started on 3rd March and ended on 2nd May. Compared to last year, the number of applications in this year’s exam is more. As mentioned by media reports, more than 53,000 candidates have applied.

Overall, most of the students have applied for engineering from Telangana followed by Andhra Pradesh. Thus, the total number of applications for engineering courses is now 2,05,295. However, agriculture and medical sector have also seen an increase in the number of applicants. In Telangana more than 17 thousand additional applications are received by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education,

Professor R Limbadri, Chairman, Telangana State Council of Higher Education Spoke to Times of India on the matter. He said, “The additional number of candidates was expected as more children are pursuing higher education in Telangana and enrollment in intermediate has also been higher. New courses in both nursing and engineering streams are also encouraging students to pursue higher education.”

The number of centers has also increased to 104 this year in Telangana as compared to 80 last year. The examination authorities are taking measures to avoid malpractices and ensure fair conduct of the examination at the designated venue. This year there will be sitting squad at every examination venue. Technical audit of the examination venue will be done. The Chief Superintendent and Supervisor will be allowed to use the phone inside the examination venue.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in TS EAMCET 2023 and 25 percent weightage will be given to Intermediate (Class 12) marks. TS EAMCET exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE for the students who want to take admission in various professional programs in Telangana state. Apart from this, the board has also issued the hall tickets of the students.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link “TS EAMCET Hall Ticket”.

Step 3: Enter your registration number and additional details.

Step 4: Hall Ticket of TS EAMCET 2023 will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Download TS EAMCET 2023 Hall Ticket and take a printout for future reference.
