Trinamool state secretary Sayantika Bandyopadhyay was injured in an accident on Thursday while on her way to Kolkata. She was returning from Bankura when her car was hit by a 12 wheeler in West Burdwan. Thankfully no one was injured after the accident. However, the right side of the car was damaged.
The incident took place on the National Highway 2 side. The local police arrested the driver and took the truck into their custody. Police is also investing in the case. According to reports, the speed limit of the truck will also be checked. Details relating to any mechanical defect will also be taken into account.
After the accident, Sayantika puts her travel plans on hold and decides to return to Bakura.
